Gray Panthers | The Gray Panthers NYC is the local chapter of a network of multigenerational volunteer groups committed to combating ageism and to striving for social justice. Our focus is on the human rights of older people through intergenerational solidarity. DOROT | Volunteers are at the heart of DOROT’s programs. Connect with older adults to form friendships, create Intergenerational bonds and provide assistance. DOROT volunteers bring vital services and immeasurable joy to our clients. DOROT offers one-time and recurring opportunities for individuals, families, corporations and community groups throughout the year. Invisible Hands | You can perform deliveries if you are feeling healthy, have not traveled out of the country, to a high-risk state or come in contact with a sick person in the past 14 days, and have been practicing social distancing. JASA | Volunteer at one of the largest agencies serving the aging in New York City. NYCares | New York Cares runs vital programs for 1,300 nonprofits, public schools, and city agencies to help people in need throughout the five boroughs. NYC Service | NYC Service was launched in April 2009 to lead the nation in answering President Obama’s national call to volunteerism. Check out the website for ways to get involved with the aging in NYC. Senior Planet | Senior Planet always welcomes engaged volunteers of all ages and interests. Without our volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to offer many of the programs and services that are so important to enriching the lives of older New Yorkers. No matter what type of volunteer activity you choose, volunteering is a great way to get involved with Senior Planet.
